2015 album from the superstar violinist. Inspired by the film in which he stars, the album beautifully shows off both David's virtuoso skills as a player and his genius as a composer. The album also features powerhouse operatic performances from two great collaborators. Firstly there is the internationally renowned Andrea Bocelli, whose vocals on 'Ma Dove Sei' rank alongside some of his greatest work. The second is more unexpected, the pop star Nicole Scherzinger performs on 'Io Ti Penso', and gives a neo-classical delivery unlike anything her fans will have heard before. David's inspiration for GARRETT VS PAGININI comes from one of history's great performers, Paganini. The 19th Century composer was one of the first musicians who was renowned for their virtuosity and stage presence, and David could be said to be his 21st century equivalent, not only re-imagining works by the man himself, but applying Paganini's edge to the works of other composers and his own pieces. Garrett vs Paginini marks a return to the classical music that first inspired him, with beautiful arrangements of Paganini featuring alongside his own compositions of timeless melodies that comfortably sit alongside the works of the masters.
