A prototype for the California hippie, this enigmatic, eternally cool customer became a cult star when Nat King Cole took his song "Nature Boy" to #1 in 1948. These 30 tracks pair his 1960 exotica LP "Eden's Island" with singles, outtakes and versions of his songs by others ("Lonely Island" Sam Cooke, "Land of Love" Nat King Cole, "Hey Jacque" Eartha Kitt and more including "Nature Boy" by Frank Sinatra and by Bobby Darin).
