(2-CD 1-DVD set) The New Immigrant Experience is a multimedia work inspired by the experience of the Dreamers, those who are currently protected by DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The New Immigrant Experience can be experienced in different ways; the music can be experienced alone on the 2 CDs or as part of the multimedia setting with the addition of the videos that were projected behind the band during the first live performances (DVD). Sales, himself an immigrant from Brazil, has a personal connection to the struggles of being an immigrant to the US. All of the music was composed and conducted by Salles.
