The debut album by Gary U.S. Bonds, Dance 'Til Quarter to Three was named after his second major hit single, 'Quarter to Three'. Gary had scored a major hit with his debut single 'New Orleans', a #6 hit in the US (and #16 in the UK), although the follow-up 'Not Me' missed out on the chart. Unperturbed, 'Quarter to Three' was issued in June 1961 and sailed to the top of the U.S. charts for two weeks, selling more than a million copies in the process. Hallmark.
