Another of the early pioneers of rock 'n' roll, the Little Richard catalog contains some of the biggest hits of the genre, including "Long Tall Sally", "Tutti Frutti" and "Good Golly Miss Molly", among countless others. Considering he came from a highly religious family, Little Richard's music often sailed close to the wind, with his first hit "Tutti Frutti" a somewhat risqué number that he resisted recording for several years, only committing it to tape when producer Robert Blackwell had someone else modify the lyrics. The result was a major hit and a musical template at least for future recordings. This album gathers together the sixteen best Little Richard recordings from that followed that breakthrough, including some of the finest rock 'n' roll ever recorded. Little Richard has got it!
