Martin Lang is a master of Chicago style blues harmonica. Long a stalwart session artist for Delmark Records, this is his second release as a band leader on Random Chance. His band includes: Oscar Wilson who has performed for many years as the front man for the Cash Box Kings, a Midwestern blues and swing act with a national following. He currently resides in Madison Wisconsin. Dean Haas performed for twenty five years as Jimmy Roger's in-town drummer. Billy Flynn's achievements are vast; he holds several Grammy's and performed on the soundtrack for Cadillac Records. Rusty Zinn studied guitar under the famous Luther Tucker and is from the Bay Area in California. He has performed worldwide and appeared on nearly 200 sessions. Illinois Slim, usually known as a guitarist, also plays bass and blows harp. He is a longtime stalwart on the Chicago blues scene, having apprenticed under Eddie Taylor, Sr. Jimmy Upstairs, also usually known as a guitarist, is frequently tapped to back guest stars at the University of Chicago Folk Festival, and played guitar for Willie Smith in the 1990s.
