Limited blue colored vinyl. After the overwhelming success of the last studio album 'Love At First Sting' and the live album 'World Wide Live', The Scorpions were under enormous pressure in 1988. The musicians resisted and barricaded themselves in the studio for almost three years, where they worked meticulously with producer Dieter Dierks on the successor. On 'Savage Amusement', The Scorpions presented themselves more mature and demonstrated that they belonged to the avant-garde of hard rock more than ever in terms of production technology. Despite all the changes, the album was still a typical Scorpions work: a good pinch of barely restrained aggression and dynamics, beautiful harmonies and melodies, brilliant guitars and of course Klaus Meine's unique voice.
