To say that "Husn-o-Ishq" is a labor of love is an understatement. It has taken us 10 long years to bring it to you. Along the way, we have had to acquaint ourselves with various musical styles, song writing, and many aspects of creating music other than singing or playing instruments. And yes, our engineering backgrounds did come in handy in understanding the technical aspects of the art if digital recording and audio mixing. Through this decade long journey, what has emerged is a band with an original sound and distinctive style; an album refreshingly new to the South Asian music scene. The interplay of the vocals, harmonies, and the instruments has been done in a uniquely interesting way. The meaning and the rhyme of the lyrics are ultimately reminiscent of Urdu sháari. As you will listen to "Husn-o-Ishq", you will be struck by the eclectic nature of the album as no two songs sound alike. Needless to say, you will find it difficult to catagorize the album in a genre. "Husn-o-Ishq" is now yours to play, absorb, dissect, and love!
