Known to many for their uplifting hit song "O-o-h Child," STAIRSTEPS (formerly The Five Stairsteps) were The First Family of Soul, providing the template for family bands like The Jackson 5. Originally discovered by Curtis Mayfield, they were introduced to The Beatles by Billy Preston. George Harrison signed the band to Dark Horse Records in 1975 and put out the band's final album, 2nd Resurrection, which featured one of their biggest hits, "From Us To You." Billy Preston played synthesizer and served as co-producer alongside Robert Margouleff.
