The theme of the album (recorded in June this year) is Arcadia. This is a program that includes, for the most part, diminutions (the practice of ornamentation in the Renaissance and early Baroque) written by me on madrigals and songs from the 16th and 17th centuries, following my line of specialisation in this repertoire. The pastoral genre enjoyed great success during the Renaissance period; this program is composed of works that use the texts of the pastoral genre by authors such as Guarini ("Il pastor fido"), Sannazaro ("Arcadia"), Petrarch ("Canzoniere"), etc. Two plucked string instruments accompany me in varied combinations of theorbo, archlute and baroque guitar
