Alexandra Savior Releases Acoustic Version of 'But You' To Benefit Mental Health Charity
Ever since Alexandra Savior released her sophomore album, The Archer, on January 10th, via Danger Mouse's 30th Century Records, she's been busy working in a changed world, donating her artwork to benefit pandemic charities after her European tour was cancelled.
Now she's released an acoustic cover of her song "But You", along with a video, and all proceeds from the song will go to The Loveland Foundation.
On choosing this particular foundation Savior says, "they help young women of color retrieve free therapy and mental health Counseling. It’s incredibly powerful and necessary work that they do and I’m honored to be able to support in some small way"
Savior made the video for this version of "But You" using Super8 footage of her grandfather’s family from the 60s. The studio version of the song "But You" from The Archer, is one of her most popular tracks and you can buy the new version on Bandcamp now.
Savior's debut record, Belladonna of Sadness, was written in collaboration with Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys.
Savior recently announced her new 2020 European tour dates, which will bring her shows to Germany, Holland, Ireland, UK, Belgium, France, Turkey and Spain. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, head to Alexandra Savior's website: alexandrasavior.com.
