Experience 'Dystopian Delirium' In Mushroomhead's Video For 'The Heresy'

Mushroomhead have their eighth album release coming up in a couple weeks, pre-orderable now, with A Wonderful Life. If that title from the "heavy rock/metal" band sounds cheery, their latest single with full post-apocalyptic video might convince you otherwise.

The song itself was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and features vocals from Ms. Jackie. In the video, you'll see events playing out in a post-apocalyptic bunker and J Mann describes the song as "dystopian delirium" with naturally "cinematic" qualities.

Mushroomhead "mastermind" and drummer/percussionist Skinny says this about the video:

“We wanted to do something a little more thought-provoking this time around. With the current state of the world going to Hell in a hand basket, we wanted to incorporate something that delivered the swift transportation of certain doom. The manufacturing of war power and the stockpiling of faith. The willful destruction of the past, the future, and ultimately humanity.”

The new album coming up is slated to be over 70 minutes in length and include four bonus tracks, meaning we're in for a total of 17 tracks on A Wonderful Life!
