Have Some 'Salt Licorice' With Jónsi Ahead Of This Week's Release Of 'Shiver'

Ahead of his first solo LP release in ten years, Jónsi has unleashed the single and video for "Salt Licorice". The new song and video also features the Swedish Pop star Robyn. The new album, Shiver, arrives this Friday, October 2nd, from Krunk. 

An ode to “Scandinavian Pain,” “Salt Licorice” sees the two vocalists traverse a rugged sonic terrain laid out by A. G. Cook. Jónsi and Robyn "commiserate in the coldness of aging, nostalgia, and depression, sorrows that are made easier when shared with a kindred soul".

Robyn says:

“‘Salt Licorice’ is such a cute and perfect pop song. It makes me want to dance violently and make out at the same time. It was a no-brainer to say yes to singing it with Jónsi. The pretty emails I get with a thousand emojis in them from him is a bonus that came with our collaboration as well!”
