Sweet Lizzy Project Comments On The 'Sticky Situations' Of 2020 With New Single & Video
Sweet Lizzy Project comes from Havana, Cuba, and now operates in Nashville, and they've brought a more alternative sound this time to the new single and video “Sticky Situations”, out on digital platforms October 16th, 2020.
They will be celebrating the release with a virtual show to be aired live on the same date at 9 p.m. CDT on the band’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The song was written by Lisset Diaz, Miguel Comas, and Raul Malo of The Mavericks and mastered by Greg Calbi (John Lennon, Tame Impala, Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, Sheryl Crow and more).
Sweet Lizzy Project released its second studio album Technicolor in February, 2020, but the new single is inspired by this year's difficult events. It is the first of a new collection of songs self-recorded by the band in the house they all share, while unable to tour due to COVID-19.
Since March 15 of this year, the band has also performed over 95 Sweet Quarantine Sessions from home multiple times a week, viewable on You Tube.
Lisset Diaz, Sweet Lizzy Project’s frontwoman and co-songwriter explains the band's 2020 experience:
“It took us three years to put out Technicolor. We recorded at BlackBird Studios, one of the most prestigious recording studios in the world, worked with incredible engineers like Niko Bolas, John McBride and Thom Panunzio, booked the most exciting tour schedule, and waited for the “perfect” time to release it. This is a reminder that nothing is guaranteed. We are following our hearts and sharing what we love the most, music.”
