Take In A 'View From The Sky' With Kyle Rausch Of Shy Boys On Tower's Live Show
Kyle Rausch of the indie band Shy Boys joined us for our Tower Instagram Live show, hosted by Dani Pinkus, all the way from Kansas City to talk about the band's upcoming album, Talk Loud, out September 25th from Polyvinyl.
Rausch fills us in on he and his brother's musical childhood, singing in harmony before they could do much else, as the offspring of a concert pianist and a Jazz musician. He also discusses the origin and reasoning behind the band's name, and even though he feels he's definitely not a "boy" anymore, they think they'll stick with the moniker. One of the songs from the new album "View From The Sky" gets some in-depth commentary regarding the role of the super-wealthy "overlords" who seem to really govern the USA.
As well as hearing about the new album and what Talk Loud means to Rausch, we also get some great stories of the band's history opening for STRFKER and how that helped bring them to their current label, Polyvinyl.
