The Allman Betts Band Filmed 'Long Gone' Video in 7 Lockdown Locations

The Allman Betts Band has released the official music video for the song “Long Gone” from their debut album Down to The River which arrived last June via BMG and is coming to 180 gram Ultra Clear Gatefold vinyl on July 24th, preorderable now.

The twist is that the video has been filmed on iPhones in seven different locations during the 2020 Quarantine in each band member’s respective home towns. An approach which neatly ties into the song's title "Long Gone", and its themes. The locations you'll see in the video range from "the banks of the Missouri River to the Mountains of Wyoming, in skyscrapers, poppy fields, beaches, and backyards", according to Devon Allman.

For those who didn't catch the debut album when it came out, Devon Allman is the son of founding Allman Brothers Band keyboardist and singer, Gregg Allman. He teamed up with Duane Betts, son of founding Allman Brothers Band guitarist and singer, Dickey Betts, for the Allman Betts Band in 2018. They also recruited Berry Duane Oakley, son of the Allman Brothers Band’s founding late bassist, Berry Oakley. Other band members include guitarist Johnny Stachela, drummer John Lum, and percussionist R Scott Bryan. Keyboardist John Ginty also joined them for their world tour.

The Allman Betts Band was on the global tour when they were forced to cancel the remainder of their dates due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of the dates have been rescheduled, but Allman has started a live series from his home called the “We Are Still All Together Tour.” The series features members of The Allman Betts Band, and any proceeds made from these shows go directly to the ABB touring crew members. 

The shows have been airing LIVE on the Devon Allman Facebook Page and then reposted the next day to all platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
