We Have 'Nowhere To Go But Everywhere' Says Ryan Hamilton Without His Harlequin Ghosts On Tower's Live Show

Ryan Hamilton of the outfit Ryan Hamilton & The Harlequin Ghosts joined our Tower Instagram Live Show to talk about their recent album release, Nowhere to Go But Everywhere, out from Wicked Cool Records now.

Hamilton joins us from a rather remote homestead in Texas, where he's delighted to slow things down these days after a rather lively youthful period in music. He explains that the rest of his band, The Harlequin Ghosts, are all British and based in the UK, far away from him during this quarantine period.

But he does have some good company in the Beat writer Jack Kerouac's actual belt, sent to him by the Kerouac estate. Why is he so into Kerouac? Well, the book On The Road was one of the few non-religious books that he managed to read as a teen due to his rather focused upbringing. While he's grateful for the life values he's able to take from that background, many of the more limiting ideas of religion are things he continues to reevaluate as a person, and in his music. You can see the result, in part, in the song "Jesus and John Lennon".

In this in-depth conversation, Ryan Hamilton also walks us through the intricate and somewhat psychedelic-looking cover art from the new album and gives us some clues as to where all those ideas came from.
