For over forty years Bruce Innes has been delighting audiences with his performances. His passion for music is infectious. As a singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist he has brought joy to people all over the world and had a profound influence on the artists around him. Bruce's incredible career has taken him around the world, included recording many albums, and writing songs for other much loved performers. Bruce continues to write songs and performs both solo, with the Bruce Innes band locally and regionally, and nationally with the Original Caste. Bruce Innes, a native of Calgary, Alberta, has been performing professionally since age 11. While in college he played guitar with blues legend Josh White. In 1960 he formed the Big Sky Singers, a group voted 'best vocal group in the nation' by Cavalier magazine. The Big Sky Singers released a record on Dot Records. In 1964 Bruce moved to Los Angeles. His songwriting ability landed him the opportunity to write songs for and perform internationally with LA Dodgers shortstop Maury Wills. In 1967 Bruce formed The Original Caste, which enjoyed great success due to great songs written by the producing team of Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter as well as Bruce himself. Their first album One Tin Soldier produced the singles One Tin Soldier and Mr. Monday, and went gold in Canada and Japan. The Original Caste toured and released several more records until 1980. During his time with The Original Caste Bruce collaborated with other artists, including singing with John Denver on his Rocky Mountain High album. Many of Bruce's songs have been recorded by artists such as Mickey Gilley and Ray Stevens. In 1998 Bruce moved to beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho. From there he has continued to perform, write songs, and produce other artists. He produced the 2003 Western Music Association 'Album of the Year' for Brenn Hill, as well as producing other great talent such as Beth Pederson and Jilla Web. Bruce continues to perform nationally with the Original Caste featuring Bruce and Nashville based vocal superpower Jilla Web.
