Description

Title: Jazz Guitar 2
Artist: Crain, Sam
Label: CD Baby
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 634479019838
Genre: Jazz

Last CD sold: 11/06/14 Sam Crain-guitars, bass, keyboards Dave Burdick-guitar(2, 14) Andy Burtschi-bass(4,9, 13) Rich Olson-drums(4, 13) Craig Russo-drums(9) Wayne Coniglio-bass(3,7) Steve Adleman-drums(3,7) The material is mostly originals, mine and one tune by LA-based trumpet player/bandleader DC Hall, but also features two standards: Polkadots and Moonbeams and Blue Skies. Some of the other material, such as 'Stella by Bar Light'(which can be heard in it's entirety on my website, along with Dos Guitarros) and the 2-part 'Bawdy in Seoul' is obviously taken from the standard repertoire, while other tunes (Dos Guitarros=One Note Samba, Birthday Girl=All the things you are)are new melodies over standard changes, and somewhat less obvious. But it's all jazz and it's all good. Hope you enjoy Jazz Guitar Vol 2. I'm happy to say that Jazz Guitar Vol 2 has also sold in Hong Kong, England, Ireland, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland, Italy,Sweden and Belgium as well as throughout the US. Jazz Guitar Vol 2 has been my best-selling CD on CD Baby, and by a pretty good margin (The Sam Crain Trio and Bird's-Eye View are 2nd and 3rd best, respectively). Go figure...
