Some may say that Angelee (Lee) Gerovasiliou "fell" into his musical career, but it took quite a bit of energy and support to become what it is today. Looking back almost a decade later, with the imminent release of his second CD, Lee is thankful for the twists and turns involved in getting to this point. It all began in 1996, while on a soccer scholarship at Temple University. Lee tore a ligament in his knee, putting an abrupt end his collegiate soccer career. He made a small investment in a Seagull Folk guitar, and taught himself to play as he healed from reconstructive surgery. In 1997, when Lee transferred to Virginia Tech with a major in Biology, guitar became a release during study breaks. Lee's major musical influences, The Police and Bruce Springsteen, were the impetus and inspiration for his first songs, which included "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic," and "Thunder Road." He showcased "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Message in a Bottle" at his first gig at The Cellar in April 1999, for twenty-five of his closest friends. In the summer of 1999, Lee began performing at Top Of The Stairs, a venue he would call his musical home for the following year. During his senior year, Lee's fans, headed by his Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and VA Tech students joined him there every Wednesday night and helped create a great atmosphere for acoustic music. Following graduation, Lee accepted a position in the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School Class of 2004. Today, as a full time Veterinarian, he plays at a select few venues, including DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware; Smokie Joe's in Philadelphia; Buckley's Tavern, and Del Rose Café. He occasionally returns to Top of the Stairs to perform. Lee has also moved on from cover songs to write and create his own songs, which can be enjoyed on his CD, "Open All Night" and the up and coming new CD. Lee would like to thank his friends and family, and all those who have supported him during his musical career. Namely, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, friends at Virginia Tech, Mike Whaley and Mark Wilson at Top of the Stairs, and the students at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School for their support.
