Arsin is a Rap artist who embodies a soulful, edgy and retroactive style of Hip Hop music. He describes his lyrical style as 'A rapid fire flow with a contemporary and entertaining conscious direction". Arsin is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He is from 'Da Bottom' which is a nickname for the Mantua area of West Philadelphia. Some of his musical influences are artist such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gay, Tupac, Bone Thugs -n- Harmony, Nas, DMX and Eminem. When asked why those particular artist interested him he responded, 'I felt the soul in their music; it inspired me to say things on records that I sometimes couldn't express any other way'. ARSIN began performing at the age of eight with a mission to entertain and inspire people worldwide. Performing at local talent shows and events sparked artistic momentum and created a fan following during his early stages. He won every talent show at his high school and in 2003 he was recognized as the #1 artist in the Performing Arts division. He got the idea for his stage name during a cypher when the crowd began to scream "Fire" every time he performed. One day he looked up different synonyms for fire, and found words that reflected his lyrics like passion and intensity. He came up with the name Arson, which was later changed to Arsin (Our-sin). His philosophy was that "our - sin", the idea of right and wrong affects our values in society in terms of classism, racism, and political & religious ideologies. He uses his music to reflect his experiences with those issues. In 2007, Thumb Play Inc. /Clear Channel signed Arsin for an official ringtone deal. Six months after signing the deal, ARSIN was rated the top artist on the company's independent artist social music network. That same year, 100.3 The Beat (Later changed to Hot 107.9) a premier Philadelphia Radio One station, featured Arsin as a local guest artist. The show was called "Local Spotlight" hosted Dj Touchtone and was rated #1 in the tri-state during Arsin's appearance. The following year Arsin joined Bow Wow and Talib Kweli on the "Rock The Vote" national tour, which was founded by Virgin Records executive Jeff Ayeroff. After releasing several mixtapes and a few singles, Arsin released his first studio album "2nd Hand Smoke" in 2010 through major disturbers like iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, FYE and more. Arsin begin to collaborate and perform with various entertainers such as Dj Khaled, Rick Ross, Kevin Hart, Naughty by Nature and more. Hip Hop pioneer Kwame stated "I do alright, but ARSIN tears the stage down when he performs". Arsin had the opportunity to collaborate with one of his musical influences Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Bizzy Bone on his single "High Beams" which released in 2012 and received over 50k hits online. With over 1 million hits and 200k followers online ARSIN is building a brand that represents culture and quality. There is a direct correlation between Arsin and Hip Hop music. He advocates for the struggle and tells the stories of the community though his music. Arsin still gives back to his community. In 2012, he graduated with a Masters in Human Services from Lincoln University and created a non-profit organization for youth in his community. Throughout his development, he has evolved and increased his capacity as an artist. Arsin leads a movement to of musical evolution by contributing a style, image, and soulful sound that only he can deliver.
