Flashes of light in a slow tear [oneiric music] is a set of eight dreams evoking scenes of nature where, between tree branches as well as on the waters of rivers, thanks to the sun that crosses them or caresses them, shadows and lights enjoy to their heart's content. Those bright flashes are reflected in the tear which, from the closed eyelid, slowly slides down the dreamer's cheek, preceding the sadness of the awakening that will put an end to everything, except the music born from the buried images, that will emerge, consoling, from the depths of dreams. Claude Evence Janssens is a Belgian composer, instrumentalist, and musicologist by training. He mainly composes for ensembles and groups that he creates according to his different projects, which do not belong to any genre in particular, but to mixes which are in turn influenced by jazz, third and fourth stream jazz, electro-jazz, world jazz, contemporary music and, sometimes, pop-rock. Lyrical expressiveness permeates Claude Evence's compositions. The compositional act is entirely subject to the search for the greatest possible density, as well as mobilizing rhythms.
