Love, sweet love! Oh, that warm feeling that floods your heart when you see or think of your beloved! Love shapes our lives from the momentwe feel attraction and excite- ment for each other. I was in fourth grade when Stanley asked me to be his girlfriend. The joy of simply walking hand in hand in the schoolyard, was my innocent beginning into romantic love. Remember when a kiss was all we needed to express our love? After years of loving my subsequent partners, I have learned that love is the greatest teacher. It is healing, peaceful, passionate, nurturing, caring, joyous, unconditional, humbling, and even difficult. Love transcends all boundaries of space and time as it sculpts our souls, creating long-lasting memories. At times I made life decisions based on the pursuit of love relationships, even forsaking what was actually very important to me. I followed my heart, no matter how difficult that path was. I believed each new part- ner was sure to bring me the happiness that I did not feel within myself. How many of us have to learn, from those impulsive decisions, the life lesson that first we need to dis- cover our true power within before someone else can enter in? Love is what moves us to create, and to voice the emotions of our experiences. This CD is a collection of my musical inspirations of love that express the intense feelings and passions that have touched me deeply. I am thankful for these memories of love along my journey of life. You know how we all have that ideal partner in our minds? I always felta deep long- ing for a tall handsome powerful ethnic man. When I traveled to South America I felt certain I was going to meet him there, but our paths never crossed. After years of studying North and South American ceremonial traditions, I par- ticipated in a Vision Quest guided by Freddy Arevalo, a Peruvian shaman. We were each placed alone in the deep forest of Western Mass. After three nights of continuous rain, I prayed for the strength to complete the Quest without giving up due to the damp cold. I had a vivid dream that night in which a handsome, ethnic man with an incredible, vib- rant, colorful tattoo all over his body appeared to me in front of a huge closed door. I was instantly attracted to his powerful energy. He greeted me kindly, saying we were twin flames, that he was waiting in the celestial realms for me, and his name was Steward. The next morning he appeared while I was awake and sang a love song to me. In order to memorize the melody I sang it over and over. I named it "Let Me Love You" and have performed this song at weddings including one in Machu Picchu. I released it on my first CD, Gaea Star Crystal: Awakening the Tribes of Light, as a soundtrack for a movie of the same name that I wrote and created with my partner Dameron Midgett. In 2008 when I was rewriting the Rainbow Crystals of the Earth play into the Gaea Star Crystal screenplay, I asked Steward what his real name was in Heaven. I wanted to write a love element into the story about our twin flame love. He replied "Ashento". Since then Ashento and I co-created the songs included in this CD, "Twin Flame", "Oh Great Lover", "Filled With Love" and "Sail Into the Universe". It is indeed a long distance romance spanning eons. I recently finished compiling his guiding words of wisdom into "The Celestial Teachings Of Ashento" book to be released along with this CD in February 2013.
