78 collectors have long prized the handful of records made by bandleader Tom Clines in 1929 and 1930. The Clines band, which enjoyed great popularity from Boston to New York to Nassau, had a distinctive sound owing to it's unusual instrumentation that prominently featured reed and rhythm instruments. The real "star" of the Clines records is Adrian Rollini, whose swinging and sophisticated bass saxophone solos enhance an already first-rate band. The music is joyous, tuneful, and well worth hearing over and over again. This CD collects for the first time all of the records by Tom Clines and His Music during Rollini's tenure and is sure to delight any fan of pop music from the 1920s and '30s. All selections have been freshly transferred and restored from original pressings by Grammy nominee Bryan Wright. The lavish 32-page color booklet features rare photographs and detailed liner notes by Randy Skretvedt. 25 tracks, 78 minutes.
