Back in 1961 and '62, EDEN KANE and DOUG SHELDON were both Decca recording artists, during which period each enjoyed his biggest record successes. However, they were diametrically different performers; Eden - known euphemistically as "the guy with the growl in his voice" - was first and foremost a singer, who would one day also turn his hand to acting, while Doug was an actor whose brief singing career was an opportunist endeavour, driven by his good looks and moody/cool image. Eden, of course, registered with the chart-topping 'Well I Ask You', followed by 'Get Lost', 'Forget Me Not' and 'I Don't Know Why'. Doug charted with covers of three US hits, 'Run Around Sue', 'Your Ma Said You Cried In Your Sleep Last Night' and 'I Saw Linda Yesterday'. This unique compilation anthologises their recorded output during 61/62, and also includes Eden's debut 45rpm, for Pye Records in late 1960
