Luby Sparks has completed their 2nd album 'Search + Destroy', 4 years and 3 months after their release of 'Luby Sparks' in January 2018. Their debut album 'Luby Sparks' released in January 2018 was heavily influenced by Western guitar pop/shoegaze, and the members, who were active university students at the time, released the album entirely in London under the direction of Max Bloom (Yuck). This work was produced with a youthful indie sound. In November of the same year, they released '(I'm) Lost in Sadness', a collection of four songs with an aesthetic indie sound influenced by early 4AD/Goth. In 2019, he released the single 'Somewhere,' which incorporated elements of ambient guitar and dream pop, and was remixed by Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie. They held their first live show in Shanghai at the end of 2019, and were planning a large-scale tour of China in 2020, but due to the spread of COVID 19, it was postponed and then canceled, and they decided to produce their 2nd album 'Search + Destroy'. I started it. Luby Sparks has undergone a dramatic transformation in the four years since it's predecessor. With co-producer Andy Savours from the UK, who produces/engineers for My Bloody Valentine, Sigur Ros, Black Country, New Road, Rina Sawayama, etc. , the song was carefully produced over the course of 2021, and all members worked together to create the song. Went. Mastering was done by Guy Davie of Electric Mastering (UK), and cover art was by Brooklyn artist Annika White, following on from her debut album 'Luby Sparks'.
