On April 1, 2003, there is a tear in the fabric of the space-time continuum, now referred to as the Rift. Details of the origin of the Rift are sketchy at best and are CLASSIFIED at the highest level. It is known for certain that life on Earth will never be the same. 01. This is Kaiju Kaos is a triumphant opening titles song if Kaiju Kaos were a summer blockbuster movie. This is Kaiju Kaos was composed and arranged as an homage to classic horror and monster movies that inspired the game mashed up with modern electronic sounds, sequencing, and instruments. 02. Kaiju Rising was the first single, released January 12, 2010. Inspiration for this song comes from all the expected places: Godzilla, Cloverfield, Mechabot, etc. This song is, in many ways, a sequel to Triunedon Awakes from Mecha Vs Kaiju - The Soundtrack (Bailey Records, 2007). Kaiju Rising features a dark and ambient intro that continually builds as creature sounds are revealed. While this is an entirely new composition many of the sounds are borrowed from Triunedon Awakes. This song is meant to be a soundscape for the three-headed dragon-like monster that lords over the deep in the world of Kaiju Kaos but monster lovers and/or games masters can enjoy this song and use it for whatever imagery is created within their own minds' eye. 03. Defending the Planet is meant to be used as a theme song of sorts for the heroic human faction known as Special Mission Force. Inspiration for this song comes from all the expected places: Ultraman, G.I. Joe, Mechabot, Power Rangers, etc. Defending the Planet was written and produced by Stratos and features guitars by Trevor Peters. 04. Behold! The Planet Devourer was the fourth promotional single. Inspiration for this song comes from two specific places one might not expect: Unicron (Transformers) and a 1988 Master of the Universe comic strip entitled The Planet Devourer. Additional inspiration comes from the expected places: Godzilla, Mechabot, Power Rangers, etc. 05. Divergent Strike is meant to be an unique take on an action sequence where the heroic mech named StratoMaxx is sent to stop the destruction being caused by the Kaiju called Triunedon. Inspiration for this song comes from all the expected places: Ultraman, G.I. Joe, Godzilla, Mechabot, Power Rangers, etc. Divergent Strike features a blend of electronic beats and orchestrated melodies. 06. The Darkrider, the Raven, and the Beng-Arii Syndicate is a theme of sorts for the evil human faction within Kaiju Kaos - The Miniatures Games called the Beng-Arii Syndicate. The Beng-Arii Syndicate is led by the Darkrider and his faithful second-in-command, the charming yet deadly Raven. This particular composition is a mash-up of three songs originally released on the CyberNet Official Roleplaying Soundtrack by Stratos (Bailey Records, 2004): Darkrider Returneth, Raven's Rebirth, and The Beng-Arii Syndicate. 07. On the Hunt is a blend of organic and acoustic sounds and instruments with some electric beats and synths added in for accompaniment. The song features numerous tempo changes to accentuate the feeling of movement and utilizes a subwoofer for each of the Kaos Monster's enormous steps. 08. Mecha Madness is an electronica beats song with a slight arcade stylization often found in 8-bit video games. The song is reminiscent of music found on the Mecha Vs Kaiju soundtrack (2007) and features Trevor Peters (Warlands - The Soundtrack (2009)) on guitar. In the year 2015, when Kaiju run rampant, human forces have created mechanized suits to assist in their battles against both colossal monsters and those evils that attempt to use the creatures against humanity. These powered suits, called Mecha or mechs for short, were originally designed by Special Mission Force to repel the giant scorpions created by Dr. Kaos and the Beng-Arii Syndicate. Today, however, thanks to reverse-engineering and unlimited funding, Mecha can be found on both sides of the battlefield often squaring off against one-another. 09. Dr. Kaos is a master of genetics, cloning, and cybernetics. The Doctor serves the Beng-Arii Syndicate and is often plagued by bizarre dreams that have a considerable influence over his experiments in creating new weapons of mass destruction and devote soldiers. Dr. Kaos is directly responsible for many of the horrors unleashed upon the world including giant scorpions, hordes of zombies, destructive dinosaurs, and the Kaos Monster. 10. Scarecrows vs. Werewolves [Kaos Mix] features a dark and ambient intro and outro that is fairly suitable for looping during long scenes while breaking into full-on metal guitars, bass, and drums for the core of the song. Within the composition, the atmospheric parts indicate when and where the scarecrows are predominant in the mix while the crunchy guitars and rhythmic drums signal the werewolves in action. Of course, metal guitar music lovers and/or games masters can enjoy this song and use it for whatever imagery is created within their own minds' eye. 11. Clash of the Colossals is symbolic of the heart and soul of Kaiju Kaos - The Miniatures Game... gargantuan monsters fighting to the death! An 8-player scenario called Clash of the Colossals was one of the first events used at conventions and in stores to promote Kaiju Kaos and this song is inspired by those death matches. Featuring crunchy electric guitars, a steady rhythm section and sound effects found throughout the soundtrack, Clash of the Colossals is an upbeat melee of sounds perfect for any action sequence in any modern or sci-fi setting. 12. Life in the Big 'Plex [Kaos Mix] is a remix by Dan Raridan. Dan has been collaborating with Bailey Records since Universe87 Campaign Setting Soundtrack (2005) where he appeared twice as Theta Frequency. We're glad to have Dan back for this project. We love what he brings to the table. 13. Sinister Scarecrows Strike is an original song by Stratos that intertwines musical cues, sounds, and themes to provide players with a suitable ambience when sending Silas and his war band into battle! Musical styles include crunchy electronic guitars, ambient soundcapes, and airy percussion. Sinister Scarecrows Strike is a complimentary track to Scarecrows vs. Werewolves. 14. Anconian Invasion is an original song by Stratos that intertwines musical cues, sounds, and themes to provide players with a suitable ambience when sending the villainous Rad'zik and his extraterrestrial Anconian Confederation into battle! Musical styles include ambient soundcapes, airy percussion, drum-n-bass, and alien sound effects. 15. Kaos Island is an original song by Stratos that intertwines musical cues, sounds, and themes to provide players with a suitable ambience when recreating events on the Beng-Arii stronghold. 16. Mountains of Madness [Kaos Mix] is a remixed version of a song that originally appeared on The Chronicles of Ramlar Official Soundtrack (2007). Both versions are by Stratos. In Kaiju Kaos, the Mountains of Madness are symbolic of the terrifying places one might encounter Cthulhu and his Eldritch Horrors. Mountains of Madness [Kaos Mix] is a blend of organic and electronic sounds and instruments representing despair, fear, and creatures that go bump in the night. This atmospheric track is great for setting a mood or embellishing a dark location. 17. Taking Tokyo is an original song by Stratos. The song starts out minimal and atmospheric but quickly kicks in with effects and percussion. At 1:15 the guitars (by Warlands - The Soundtrack guitarist Trevor Peters) start punching into the mix with the bass synths. Around the 3 minute mark, the song fades out into atmospherics similar to the beginning before reprising with some trancey synths and guitar. This energetic track is great for setting a mood or embellishing an action sequence. 18. The Battle Still Rages On is a remake of a song by Stratos that was originally released on the Mecha Vs. Kaiju - The Soundtrack (Bailey Records, 2007). This extended version
