Echoes from the Past" will be released on 23. 06. 2023 as a worldwide simultaneous release of the twentieth studio album of the most successful German art and progressive rock band Eloy. It is also the third album of a unique trilogy, designed by band mastermind Frank Bornemann as a rock opera about the life and fate of the fraMit "nzösischen national heroine and saint Jeanne d'Arc, who in the Middle Ages caused the turn in the hundred-year war against England in favor of the French king, and ultimately ended at the stake. Already the first two albums entitled "The Vision, the Sword and the Pyre, Part 1 & 2", on which various illustrious artists (including Alice Merton) are on the guest list, not only received consistently positive reviews, and reached high chart positions, but also attracted much attention on a cultural level due to their implementation in all historical details, based on profound knowledge. With "Echoes from the Past" the author now follows up again, and let's the protagonist and companion in arms of Joan of Arc, Jean de Metz, who leads through the plot of the first two albums, reflect the stirring events of the past in a very emotional way. Musically, this resulted in a work in which sensitive and atmospheric passages alternate with powerful, dramaturgically shaped sound waves that will certainly remind Eloy fans of the band's earlier concept works. But this melange is fully intended according to Frank Bornemann, who was again confronted with changes in the line up for this production. Although it is well integrated into the trilogy in terms of it's musical elements, it obviously left a lot of room for artistic moments during it's creation, which one does not expect, but which have an extraordinarily formative effect on the album, which is once again unique.
