The "Skipper" and crew are a working band, which means these guys didn't show up just to make a record, these guys play together all the time and it shows on this CD. The record swings and features some of finest L.A. musicians. Featuring four original tunes and a couple of well chosen covers including Mahjong and See Line Woman round out this recording. Joining bassist Henry Frankling are pianist Theo Saunders, trumpeters Gilbert Castellanos and Nolan Shaheed, saxophonist Chuck Manning, and vocalists Mon David on Mahjong and Karen Wilson on See Line Woman.
