Digitally remastered and expanded edition including two bonus tracks. Features 16 page booklet with authoritative liner notes by R2 magazine's David Burke. Redbone is the debut album by this excellent, pioneering all- Native American band that played rock music with R&B, Cajun, jazz, tribal and Latin influences, marking those prominent roots origins with ancient rhythms, stabbing melodies and funky guitar solos. Their legendary movement and message of peace still remains strong, and they are known and accredited as the first Native American Rock/Cajun group to have a #1 single internationally and in the USA. This album was the start of that long trail of success. This remastered CD contains an original version of 'Niki Hoeky', a 1967 hit they earlier wrote for P. J. Proby (the track appears on the album in it's original spelling 'Niki Hokey'), plus the Single A & B-sides of opening track 'Crazy Cajun Cakewalk Band'
