U.S. twelve inch vinyl pressing of this 2011 single from Chicago's Chrissy Murderbot, who comes with a style inspired by his hometown's Juke and Footwork scenes. Playfully adding in elements of R&B and dancehall, his lively mutations have a warm-hearted mass appeal that comfortably straddles genres. "Bussin Down" features Chicago Footwork supremo DJ Spinn over some high-speed jazz funk and cracking claps and claviers; "Braaain" is a unique amalgam of Footwork and the classic early digital Sleng Teng bassline. The latter blend works fantastically, as Murderbot slides the original's vocal in and out of the mix in a dub style.
