This solo singer-songwriter "folk" album gives voice to the artist's strong Christian faith and tenderly held convictions. Rich vocal harmonies and acoustic instrumentation enhance each song. From lament to joy, despair to hope - each song is rooted in the passionate and faith-filled conviction that we were all created to reflect the image in which we were made. May this album be an invitation for each listener to do just that. From the album booklet: Recording, re-recording, mixing, and re-mixing seventeen songs over six years presented me with quite a challenge when it came time to prepare them for final production. I'm pleased with how these tunes have come together as a collection. Even though I enjoy collaborating with others, this album has been pretty much a solo effort. That said, I was blessed to have Bonnie, my wife, add her harmony vocal to an adaptation of a hymn that was sung at my ordination many years ago by now: You let it be/Take my life and let it be. Jon Neufeld, my son, added his exquisite guitar to several tunes. And, it's a treat to have my long-time friend Doug Jones' bass on one of the tracks. The schedule I've maintained over the past six years - much of it intensely focused on relating to people - has increased my need for time and space to be alone. I've come to realize how important it is for me to spend time reflecting and writing - in solitude. So that's what I did. And, it was good. I hope you like the songs that resulted. Enjoy!
