Vinyl LP pressing. "In 2016 I had the privilege of being selected to the inaugural Next Level program created by the music department at UNC Chapel Hill and sponsored by the US State Department. Along with a team of talented Hip Hop artists we traveled to India to conduct workshops, collaborate with local musicians and dancers, and put together performances to showcase various elements of Hip Hop culture. After nearly a month in the land of Gandhi I returned home with a stack of crazy ill traditional and bollywood records from Calcutta. I decided to hand-select tracks to send out to a range of legendary, heavy-hitting Hip-Hop producers to sample from. The result of this cultural experiment is Contraband From India."
