Beautiful Indian classical music: sitar, tabla and tanpura. Dr. Chandrakant Sardeshmukh started playing the sitar at the age of four. His first public concert was at the age of six. When he was eight, Ravi Shankar called him a 'gsheer prodigy' and went on to teach him the sitar in the tradition of the Maihar Gharana for twelve years. Now a highly acclaimed sitar player and composer with a Ph. D. in Sanskrit, he gives performances and lecture demonstrations all over the globe including India, Australia, Japan, Germany and the US. Kirwani with ragamala displays both imagination and skill in combining various ragas contrasting majestic notes with those of frolic and gaiety. Bhairavi with ragamala, through the frequent use of semi-tones in this performance gives rise to an ethereal quality. Once you listen to his sitar, you will never forgetthe music lingers in your ears. Joyous melodies for relieving stress and pains.
