Kristine's first CD 'Take Off Your Shoes' has mapped this singer/songwriter's gradual progression from soft jazz songs like 'Someone Else's Dream', placing in the international song contest UNISONG in the top ten percent out of 4,200 entries from over 45 countries around the world, to radio friendly pop songs like the 'Mango Song', which was chosen for the theme music of the radio talk show 'The Natural Facts' airing weekly on CFUN, one of Vancouver's, Canada top radio stations. Her second CD 'Yellow Moon' is a moving and refreshing collection of Kristine Theurer's original, contemporary jazz and blues compositions. The album showcases Kristine's enchanting, sultry vocals and stellar Vancouver musicians such as Harris Van Berkel of Skywalk fame. This classically trained UBC graduate has evolved into a polished contemporary singer and songwriter that is capable of blending the best of musical genres. Three music videos have been release plus two original musicals, one of which "The Perfect Breadbox", has a full length CD. Her newest album 'She Doesn't Live There Anymore' is a wonderful collection of songs about hope and moving on, and features the acclaimed song: "Speaking For Animals", recently performed at the Benefit Concert at the Vancouver East Cultural Center. Alex Browne of the Peace Arch News writes: "...My hat is off to Theurer...who has produced music and lyrics which are everything one looks for ..... sophisticated yet accessible; haunting yet hummable... so far above the conventional as to be virtually beyond criticism'. Marke Andrews of the Vancouver Sun writes '...a cool and confident jazz stylist'. Check it out, you'll fall in love.
