Lumina is a must for all Liam Lawton fans, but also for anyone who seeks a place of solace and rest. April 18th 2014 sees the release of Lumina, a new album of orchestral recordings of Liam's best-known songs which have been arranged by Mark Cahill. Familiar songs like 'The Clouds Veil', 'Voice of an Angel' and 'There is a Place' which have touched so many of us in the past are now presented anew in beautiful instrumental arrangements by Mark Cahill and are superbly performed by the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra. Featured among other instrumental solos is the haunting performance of Nigel Davey, the great traditional box accordion player, on 'The Hiding Place'. Liam is a Roman Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin South of Dublin. He currently holds the position of Director of Sacred Music in his Diocese, He resides in Carlow, Ireland and also works as a composer / performer offering Workshops and Concerts with his own unique style of music which has become repertoire for Choirs and individuals throughout the world.
