Title: The Wind That Shakes The Barley

In response to the many fan requests over the past 20 years that Loreena McKennitt return to her musical roots, Quinlan Road is set to release a new recording featuring the kind of traditional music with which she is so often associated. Combining a blend of ballads, complimentary repertoire from England, Scotland and Ireland and one original piece, the recording of nine songs features some familiar faces; musicians Loreena has worked with throughout the years, as well as some new talent. The entire rehearsal and recording schedule took place during a nine day period in July 2010 at the historic 1832 Sharon Temple in southern Ontario, Canada.
