Me and the Boys Just won the Album of the Year 07 08 in the Durham Region Music Awards. Already, it is getting noticed. To top it off Lynn won Female Vocalist of the year at the same Awards Celebration. Her eighth album, this one is a culmination of her feisty approach to uptempo swing and maturity as well. Her voice is classically trained and shows no bounds across four octaves. Lynn truly enjoys her vocal instrument in all it's brilliant colours and luxuriant hues. She now teaches in the Faculty of Music at York University Toronto, Ontario.Twice a year she travels to Prague, Czeck Rep where she has a band as well and will record there soon. Lynn appreciates the role of passing the 'torch' to young singers and exposing them to the greats,Julie London, Ella, Sarah, Anita, Kurt, Tony etc. The band on this CD is given a full swath by their leader to play out and play hard. You can often hear their reparteeto each other and the audience is clearly along for a good time Recommended listening...
