The first words we hear him sing on the lead single "Dance" are akin to a toast: "Here's to the other side, lifted high." About the track, Baker notes, '"Dance" is a song about longing - longer for love/lust/intimacy/connection, for youth/the past, and for nature/larger world." What follows "Dance" are 11 songs centered on kinship and the complexities of human connection, and show that Baker's raw and observational song-writing - which was at the heart of the 12 year journey with his previous band, Hey Rosetta! And their multi-award winning and nominated career - is still as affecting as ever.
