Organic Orchestra is a 25 piece ensemble consisting of 12 woodwind players (flutes, clarinets, bansuri flute, bassoon, oboe & bamboo flutes) and 12 hand drummers, all led by Adam Rudolph. The orchestra features many of L.A.'s leading performers from both jazz and classical backgrounds, including Ralph Jones, Alex Cline and Karen Bakunin. Together they create driving African rhythms combined with SLAM poet Saul William's poetry and singer Dwight Tribble on a few tracks, and middle eastern vamps circle around and around, combined with contemporary harmonies and scale patterns.
