The cosmopolitan, highly appreciated Trio Cremeloque based in Lisbon presents on this album piano trios by Beethoven, in which however the strings are replaced by oboe and bassoon. The resulting instrumental colors reveal, somewhat unexpectedly, even more the symphonic master than the original instrumentation with strings. Portuguese oboist Luis Marques, German bassoonist Franz Jurgen Dorsam and Serbian pianist Savka Konjikusic met in Lisbon as soloists of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and Portuguese Symphony Orchestra. They had many years of collaboration with musicians of different nationalities, which allowed them intensive activity in the field of chamber music with concerts all over the world. The group's repertoire includes works less well-known to the general public, as well as it's own adaptation of well-publicized piano trios, recreating through a very particular sound it's own musical identity.
