If that's just the Warm Up, what's the album gonna be like?! Blitz the Ambassador presents the Warm Up EP - a 7-track EP that precedes his forthcoming LP Afropolitan Dreams, slated to drop early 2014. The Ghanaian-American rapper makes nods to a plethora of genres from afro-beat to jazz, as he raps alongside spirals of Motown-styled brass, crackles of guitars, and boom-bap redolent beats. Not only that but the Warm Up crosses over genre lines, drawing it's influence from a range of genres including afrobeat, funk, soul and classic boom-bap to deliver a collection of tracks that speak to a universal crowd and rep hard for Ghana. African in New York' chronicles the colorful immigrant life in NYC from an African perspective. From the Bootleggers on Canal street to the Dollar cab drivers to the Restaurants Uptown, everybody gets a shout out over this banging Blitz production complete with live guitars and signature horns. 'Internationally Known' features Ghanaian award winning lyricist Sarkodie. For the track called "Bisa", the Ghanaian lyricist teams up with fellow African heavyweights Nneka and Ty. Produced by beatsmith Tismé, the word 'Bisa' means 'Ask' in the Ghanaian language "Twi" and explores widespread inequalities from an African perspective.
