Circus Company follows Carlos Nilmmns's True Chemistry (CCS 094EP) with an EP by rising German artist Borrowed Identity (Quintessentials, Fina, Home Taping Is Killing Music, Mistress). "Addictive" leaps out with a sweeping piano hook and subby bassline, while "Trans Trans Trans" brings a purposefully old-school feeling with it's stark squarewave synth lines and sleazy vocal groans. Mechanical Soul Brother lends a hand to "The Scene," which piles on the late-night tension with it's tightly wound chord stabs and rolling drums, before "Llife" showcases a more eclectic side thanks to a bongo-infused percussive throwdown and an uplifting dose of acid.
Tracks:
1.1 A1. Addictive
1.2 A2. Trans Trans Trans
