Genre: Rock
Coarbegh was originally created as a side project of the art rock band Poor Genetic Material and has been a fixture in the ambient scene ever since the release of the second album Dark Sky Reserve in 2016. The special feature of Coarbegh's suggestive instrumental music is the tension created by the combination of electronics and classical acoustic instruments. Philipp Jaehne's electronic colors, surfaces and rhythms form the foundation and the framework to which Pia Darmstaedter's flute and voice breathe life into life. Again and again, short musical themes and melodic patters break through the floating soundscapes and, together with these, form a fascinating cosmos of sound.
