Many Ace fans will be familiar with Marty Cooper from the songs he wrote in the 60s -including the Marathons' 'Peanut Butter, Little Stevie Wonder's 'Hey Harmonica Man' and Jack Nietzsche's symphonic epic 'The Lonely Surfer' - or the records he made as a member of the Shackleford's with Lee Hazelwood. Now there's a chance to catch up with Marty's career as a country-tinged singer/songwriter via this first-time reissue of his complete 1970s recordings. The set comprises his two solo albums, with a previously unissued version of one of his best-known compositions, 'The Biplane Evermore', as a bonus track. His first album "A Minute of Your Time" was released on Andy Williams' Barnaby label in 1972. The second, 1979's "If You Were a Singer", was issued in Germany and other countries around the world - but not in the USA, due to what Marty describes as "misplaced political correctness".
