Eagles new series Eagle Classics brings together two original Eagle Records CD releases into a single set for the first time. This release combines two classic Deep Purple shows from Montreux, the first in 1996 and the second in 2006. Few bands have a stronger relationship with Montreux as epitomized in their all-time classic song "Smoke on the Water" with it's opening line of "We all came down to Montreux". The earlier show features the line-up of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, Steve Morse and Ian Paice, whilst the later show sees Don Airey take over the keyboard duties from Jon Lord. These are two sensational live performances worthy of inclusion in any fans collection.
