DEEP SUN wanted to base their third album "Das Erbe der Welt" on a concept. Since all band members are interested in artificial intelligence and the whole technological progress, DEEP SUN decided to base the album's theme on these topics. That's why the album - both musical as well as lyrical - received a new and slightly futuristic touch compared to the previous DEEP SUN sound. The lyrics, most of them written by the singer Debora Lavagnolo, deal in a very symbolic and poetic way with the fast changes and transformations of today's society. Other lyrics, on the other hand, address the topic direct and point-blank, highlighting the very core of the problems that come with all technical changes. As usual, the basic song concepts - developed by Angelo Salerno, Tom Hiebaum or Pascal Töngi - were brought to life by all band members, resulting in the 12 varied and well-balanced songs that are now featured on the album. Over the course of 1,5 years, the album was brought to perfection. DEEP SUN teamed up with producer Markus Teske, owner of the Bazement Studio, who's a well-versed confidant of DEEP SUN. They also didn't make any experiments in the graphics department. The whole artwork was created by Stefan Heilemann, who once again proved, that he's one of the best in his field. One of the most important things during the recording process for the new album was that the band was able to use the experience gained during the previous two productions, and to draw the right conclusions without losing their own identity. The whole theme of the album comes to fruition thanks to the new sounds created by Tom Hiebaum. All in all, the musicians have created another milestone in the band's history with "Das Ende der Welt", as they have all evolved in terms of composition, the artistic vision, the sound, the lyrics as well as the vocals.
