The band was formed in 2011 with a unique style in which all four members are vocalists and guitarists. The folk quartet THE DEKITS (read: The Dekits) consists of Keishi 'KC' Tanaka (ex. RIDDIM SAUNTER), Masatomo 'MAURICE' Yoshizawa (YOUR SONG IS GOOD), Syuta-low 'TGMX' Tagami (FRONTIER BACKYARD), Kazuhide 'TK' Takamoto (COMEBACK MY DAUGHTERS), and others, released their debut EP 7-inch in July of the same year and performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '11 in their first year. In August 2024, to celebrate the band's restart after their first live performance in about five years, their first full album 'DE KIT 4 KEY'S' (DK4/released December 7, 2011) will be re-released on cassette! It contains a total of 12 songs, mainly light and upper country folk and acoustic ska numbers that you'll want to listen to in various everyday situations. The artwork for this work is also by 'MAURICE', and has a stylish and pop finish. Some EC sites will also be selling a limited edition bundle set with the DE KIT? tote bag (new color), which was very popular during the 'Never Ending Homies feat. THE DEKITS' tour that triggered the restart! Let's celebrate the restart with the work. A group of songs that make you want to dance at any moment, including upper country folk and light acoustic ska numbers. In addition to the cover songs from the two 7-inch albums, the cover of 'GOD ONLY KNOWS' from the 2010 Christmas compilation is also re-recorded. The arrangement is different from the previous album, and the harmony of the ukulele, vocals, and chorus is very wonderful. There arealso 12 other songs with a wide variety of songs, from songs with wonderful 12-string plucking sounds and harmonies to ballads and pop songs sung by the best vocalists in the indie world. The band was formed at a DJ event that started as a band of band members to listen to each other's favorite songs at high volume while drinking. This full-length album was produced less than a year after the formation!It is a work unique to them, full of playfulness born from the many songs played at regular events over the past two years and from countless conversations.
