This re-release of 2009s Falling Through the Cracks marks the second release by Detroit-based guitarist/vocalist Doug Deming and The Jewel Tones and features two of today's premier harp players - Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds leader and co-founder) and Dennis Gruenling, who recently released a critically-acclaimed Little Walter tribute CD. Also appearing on the album is Washington, DC keyboardist Bill Heid, widely known for his work with artists like Koko Taylor, Henry Johnson and Fenton Robinson, among others. These are rock solid performances on a program that encompasses a variety of blues styles.
