This CD rescues out of obscurity two days of studio recordings by the Ed Bickert Trio in Toronto in January 1976, issued here for the first time. Bassist Don Thompson and drummer Terry Clarke are featured with the guitarist in a program of popular songs and jazz standards. Sticking to a program of blues, ballads and bebop, Bickert choose tunes that - like his side musicians - are supportive and easily lend themselves to his style.
